“Birds Eye View” Vision Statement

Birds Eye View is a first person extraction tactical looter shooter. The game is a tactical realism game meaning that damage is heavily based on real life physics and health. Birds Eye View is set  in the modern day. The story consists of you as the player, who has been sent into a timeline where Japan has won World War 2. The United States has been turned into a Neo Tokyo type country where the majority of the major cities have been turned over to be ruled and run by Yakuza bosses. The hearts of the cities will be where most Yakuza outposts will be. These areas are bright and futuristic but also dirty and grimy. There will be lots of industrial buildings that are for the work and distribution of scum business executed by the Yakuzas, covered by the brightness and colorfulness of the cities. Depending on the Yakuza they will be dressed in the colors of Red, White and Black. Their henchmen (which are yet to be named) will be wearing all sorts of clothing that have the yakuza bosses logo (red) on them so then you can differentiate them from other so called “factions”. All henchmen are around the perimeters of the Yakuzas owned territories. The henchmen have multiple weapons including Samurai swords, Ak-47s, chains, knives, Uzis, Mac 10s. Airports and some street fights will consist of areas that are overrun by the corrupt Police of Japan. This faction has little resources on human action but is mostly controlled by drone police. The drone police hover at around 8 feet high with turrets attached to their front end. The police fly around with spotlights and once seen by them are given red and blue flashing lights. Human police will be given average pistols and some sort of smg. These are the only faction in the game that if executed poorly will be alarmed and call for reinforcements. Police will be wearing all blue outfits. These outfits will consist of actual blue suits. The other type of suit that will be worn by human police will be more of a swat type suit that is also colored blue. The drones will be painted white with a blue stripe on them to indicate that they are with the police. They will also have Japanese writing on the side of them that will spell out police. The next faction will be the Scientists. Scientists work with everyone. They work for the Yakuzas to create the drugs the Yakuzas deal as a form to gain power. The Scientists also have a deal with the police giving them medicines to help keep aid to the police. This creates a deal between the police and the scientists that the Police will not arrest the Scientists if they keep providing them with these medicines even if they are helping create illegal drugs for the Yakuzas to gain power. The Yakuzas and the Police stay out of each other's way. Sometimes there will be minor conflicts but for the majority of the game you will never see the two factions bump heads. In some instances in the game you will see that factions are doing sketchy business, in this instance you will see factions come together such as the police and Yakuzas giving each other an exchange of goods, like guns or drugs or maybe even sometimes supplies. Rusteez are the last faction that I've included and they are the most boring in my opinion. They are just the poor people who have forgotten about either scavenging in the cities or living in the outskirts of the cities trying to find a way. That being said, they are very ruthless. They kill and try to steal from anyone who comes in contact, sometimes within their own outposts and men. The Rusteez hate the government (basically the Yakuza at this point) and want nothing but to take them down and steal every single last good that they own. Loot is a huge thing in BEV (Birds Eye View). You want to loot and try and exfil with as much loot in this game as possible. This will help make your victory in overthrowing the Yakuzas easier. Loot will be a sort of goods and items. These will consist of metal sheets, bricks, clothing, weapon parts, food, drinks, heals, neon signs, robot parts, sheets, wood and much more. These items like the metal sheets and brick will be key elements into creating makeshift parts for guns and creating your own “hideout” (this is from tarkov I have yet to come up with my own name for it). Most clothing you can exchange and wear to help with armor. Other types of clothing that you find can be used to dismantle and create makeshift heals. I want the feel of this game to be grungy and dirty like the streets of Gotham but be hidden behind the curtains of this great lit up successful looking cities. The cities will still have the normal monuments and areas that still stand today such as the space needle, lady liberty, and times square. When arriving at Yakuzas bases you will notice its industrial concrete buildings with little to no neon lights on it, this is to give it the effect of discreet and cold feelings.
